About

Legend Golf & Safari Resort

Also known as the "Home of the Extreme 19th", is one of the world's most renowned resorts.
This unique leisure destination welcomes all travellers, whether it be for a holiday getaway, business trip, golf or safari experience, Legend caters for every need.

An enormous 50,000-acre estate where herds of giraffe, zebra and antelope roam free alongside fairways that weave though open grassland and dense bushveld in two large circuits of nine.

Each of the holes on the Signature course has been assigned its own “signature designer,” starting with Trevor Immelman at the 1st and ending with Retief Goosen at the 18th. It is also the longest course in all of Africa at almost 8,500 yards from the championship tee markers.

The Tribute course has each hole being modelled on the most famous and recognized par 3 Holes in the world.
It has a playing time of about 2 hours, is a ten-hole par 3 course and aims to take you on a journey around the best holes in the world, providing a stunning additional golf experience to the championship 18-hole Signature Course.

We haven't even mentioned the Extreme 19th – a par three played from the top of nearby Hanglip Peak, 470 yards above the level of a massive green that’s contoured in the shape of the African continent.
Golfers reach the tee box by helicopter and hit their tee shots from the longest, highest par three on earth (or any known golf playing planet) and about 20 seconds later they find out if they are anywhere near the green. ( this hole is at an extra cost - please speak to a consultant to find out about booking it prior to arrival)
